Event Recap:

It was a wonderful success, organized by the Conservation Department of the British Columbia Métis Federation. The event saw a fantastic turnout of enthusiastic volunteers who dedicated their time to preserving the natural beauty of the coastline. Hoochy 'Booch Kombucha generously sponsored the event with five delicious flavors, providing refreshing beverages for all participants. Sunflower Café, another local business, contributed fresh cranberry and lemon scones, adding a delightful touch to the event. The sunny weather further enhanced the positive and productive atmosphere, making it an enjoyable day for everyone involved.

Adding a touch of celebrity to the event, local Global News Meteorologist Kristi Gordon attended with her children, actively participating in the cleanup efforts. Her presence brought additional attention to the cause and underscored the importance of community involvement in environmental conservation. The collaboration of local businesses, community members, and media personalities exemplified the collective effort required to protect and preserve our natural surroundings, making the event not only a cleanup but a celebration of community spirit and environmental stewardship.
